| This is a Billiardette Table built during the prohibition years. It is a miniature size pool table measuring approximately 27"x 47". These were built to work around some of the laws inacted during the prohibition years pertaining to pool halls. With the coin operation and smaller size, they were called an arcade game and did not fall under the laws that were enacted. The manufacture of these ceased around 1936. This is a very ornate one and is now fully functional with its coin operated mechanism and the metal ball drop return. Both of these were missing before the restoration. This table is made with solid walnut, walnut vineers, oak, and lace wood vineer on the upper sides. |
